Scourge of vandals recently attacking in Ellis/O'Farrell garage. They stole my helmet. Several times I had found the helmet dangling where they tried to grab it not realizing it was locked. This time they just cut the strap, leaving scratch marks on my handlebar cross-bar.

Today I found that they had whacked my padlock trying to get the new helmet.

I was tempted to put an ink pack in the liner to give the vandal a blotched forehead, but that would probably lead to retaliation. Instead, I just have to carry my helmet with me, or leave an old one that I've thought about getting rid of anyway.
